If you walk along the canal towards the West you end up in locations seen in Pink Floyd the Wall movie. I found that by pure chance while walking from Camden to Willesden.

These days the native British are the minority. No need to travel to Africa, just visit Thamesmead.

I lived in the Old Justice pub (0.55) 1952-1957. My granparents were publicans and my Dad grew up there. I was born in 1952 and my sister in 1954. I remember the area around the pub was bombed badly during the war but the pub was not hit. Still remember standing behind the bar and my Nan serving the dockers eels and mash. Goilden days long gone

The one aspect I recall about Hoovers, as it was referred to back in the 1960s, was the huge annual Christmas tree that adorned the site. Tesco promised to continue the tradition of erecting a tree every year following its acquisition in 1989, which it did for a number of years. Friends tell me the promise has long since been broken.

I lived in 11 Waldenshaw Rd from 1941 to 1964 approx. The museum & it's grounds were my playing area.

This is a very unknown area of London that I occasionally walked through when I went into central London as I lived in Camden Town South side (Mornington Crescent). I preferred to use the main Camden Road / Euston Road instead though as there were some dodgy council estates around that area. N-Dubz the band are from around there I think or close and the Shane Meadows movie 'Somers Town' was set around that area and filmed there. I think back in the 1990s it had some affordable housing if you wanted to live in very central London.
